Ron Gant - Should've Been an All-Time Atlanta Braves Great
During the 90s Atlanta Braves era, Ron Gant was the top hitter that started the Braves run to an incredible 14 straight division titles. Ron Gant was awesome and should've been considered an all-time Braves great. I greatly appreciate your interest in this 90s baseball video. Thank you so much and enjoy this sports history documentation.

    @drew8703 5 днів тому

    And lets talk about how if Jordan is so competitive and all that, why is he not thst good at golf. Hes never even come close to winning that golf tournament in lake tahoe.

  • @drew8703
    @drew8703 5 днів тому

    Can we also please talk about how amazing pippen was this year, and how Jordan never won a playoff series without Pippen. Losing Jordan, and then replacing him with nobody, and the Bulls barely dropped off. What would have happened if it was just Pippen who left and was replaced with nobody, how far woulf Bulls have gone with Jordan? To me, it goes to show how a dynamic player like Pippem can make everyone better, and the different types of skills that have an impact in basketball.

  • @drew8703
    @drew8703 5 днів тому

    Yes. Yes. Yes Ok, here is the issue, or at least one of many present in all this. Everyobe talks about how to be the man, be clutch, a winner, you have to demand the ball in crunch time. This is exactky what Pippen did - a demand for the ball implies consequences for not giving the ball, and thats what he did. And he gets blasted for it. And then you get into all the stuff about Pippen being underpaid and the Kukoc stuff. Pippen really deserved and earned the right to take the shot, had to deal with a bunch of crap to get into this position. I think Phil the Zen Master should have understood this. You let Pippen take and probably miss the shot, then let him play his ass off the rest of series to make up for that miss. Or work on his game all offseason and next season to win the next year. Also, i think Pippen just made the wrong choice in carrying this out. I think he could have gone out there and just make everyone run a different play for him. I believe LeBron actually did something like this, made the shot, abd was celebrated. But its true that Pippen was a small forward and its just not his game to make last second shots, kind of like how Shaq wasnt the guy to make a gane winner. Also, a testament to how great Pippen is - even making a bad choice, it worked out. I think the team should have covered for Pippen and kept it internal. It seems like they let too much out on how they felt about Pippen doing this in the moment. Just say hes still their dawg, they gonna roll together. I have more to say on all this

    Ron Gant was a great power hitter but got overshadowed by the great pitching staff and the other great hitters they came in and out over their 12 year dominance. Fred McGriff was my favorite player growing up and was so happy to see him get in the HOF this past year.

    An absolute magician. For a guy who didn't have the arm strength of some of his contemporaries, he could make beautiful throws from all different angles. Extremely tough, too. Took a lot of snaps, stayed in the pocket for as long as a guy could, and took a beating. I think the biggest problem for him was that he played for a lot of disappointing teams. Seattle gradually became mediocre starting in the late 80s, and the 1992 Chiefs never produced the great running game that Krieg had been brought in to complement with his elite play-action skills. That campaign was particularly tough, because even though he played very well, the Chiefs fell short of expectations and decided to bring in Joe Montana and the West Coast offense. This interrupted Krieg's status as a starter, which he showed he still deserved when backing up Montana in 93 and Mitchell in 94 in Detroit. He was rightly given another starting job in Arizona in 95, but as luck would have it, the Cardinals were a complete disaster. Just about everything that could go wrong did. Still, if you look at highlights from that season's games, Krieg was still slinging good-looking passes at 37 years old. He even showed flashes of his younger self later on in Chicago and Tennessee, where he played to the age of 40. Unfortunately, he'll probably never be in the Hall of Fame because of his lack of post season opportunity - mostly one and done Wild Card appearances.

      I haven't heard that team name in a long time - Grand Rapids Rampage. I wish Bishop had more success. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching the video.

    Bishop is my fav player of all time. Loss to texas anm was devastating. They should have been national champions that year. Also, he should have had a pro career. Couldnt believe bilichek cut him

      Thank you so much for watching the video. Sorry for the late reply. Bishop was also one of my favorites of all time. I too was also devastated with that A&M loss. I wish Kansas State were the champs that year. Thanks again.

    The first QB of my favorite team growing up. Yeah, Krieg was awesome. It wasn’t until we got Hasselbeck that we had good play at that position.

      Thank you so much for the comment and thanks for watching the video. I miss the Seahawks jerseys from the '90s. They were immaculate. I kind of liked Jon Kitna, but I understand your point of view from Krieg to Hasselbeck. Thank you so much once again. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

    Minnesota twins in the 90s

    • @90sSportsNostalgia
      @90sSportsNostalgia Місяць тому

      Thank you for the recommendation. The Twins in the '90s will be a fun video to do. I think I will try to do it next summer (because my plan is to do one more baseball video about Frank Thomas and then switch to college football and then the NFL). I will start to get back to doing more '90s teams videos. But I think the Twins in the '90s from winning the World Series in 1991, to being lost in the realigned AL Central will be interesting. Thank you so much once again. I hope to do the Twins in the '90s next summer. Thank you so much and enjoy the rest of your summer.

    Im looking for a mariners pitcher m, they called him one of the most intimidating. I think he was Hispanic and he got hooked on pain killers and it ruined him. Can some one help a fan out plz.

      Thank you so much for watching the video and thank you so much for the recommendation. But I apologize, I don't think I will do that video because the MLB network did a great documentary about Cleveland baseball in the '90s. I think it's called "The Dynasty That Almost Was". However, I may do a 1999 Cleveland Indians video in the future. Thank you so much once again. I appreciate the support.
